great atmosphere with lovely fruit treats daily

Genuine hospitality from warm staff. Enjoyed clean rooms with refreshing pool. Breakfast included delicious local dishes, fresh fruit, and offered fantastic variety. Perfect for exploring the Sunday night market.

The pool area was nice, but it felt cramped with families around.

The breakfast offered a variety of delicious foods, both western and Thai, which I truly enjoyed every morning.

I found the parking situation rather challenging due to the narrow street. Additionally, the pool area felt a bit cramped, especially when families with children arrived. I had to leave the pool when they came in because there wasn’t enough room for me to swim laps, which was disappointing after a long day of exploring the city.

Thapae Gate Hotel impressed me with its refreshing pool and an extensive breakfast spread. Every morning brought a delightful selection of Western and Thai dishes to choose from. The access to cold water and fresh fruit all day long was a definite highlight. The ambiance was cozy, and the staff made every effort to make us feel welcomed and at home. My room, a Deluxe Double, was not only spacious but also beautifully designed with a clean bathroom that featured great water pressure. However, the mattress could use an upgrade for better support. Additionally, the location, while charmingly secluded, posed some challenges with limited parking on nearby streets. Regardless, the convenience of the Sunday night market being just around the corner was a fantastic perk, adding to the overall appeal.

The hotel was perfectly located just 20m away from busy main roads, making it easy to explore the old town and nearby temples. The staff members were incredibly warm and always willing to help, enhancing my experience immensely.

Location was really good. It’s right next to this massive Sunday night market where I could just stroll around and soak in the lively atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful going out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed, including free coke and water in the fridge.

It wasn’t exactly cheap, but I guess you pay for the quality.
